Top 3 Blogs of the Week
Here we go again. Being an avid blog reader allows me to find great content that I can share with each of you. Her are the top 3 articles that I have read this week that are worth sharing with you!
Quote of the week: “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” – Mark Twain
“How To Be On Vacation For The Rest Of Your Life (Really)” by Bill Murphy Jr. – These kinds of articles really hook me. There is no quick fix answer in any type of article like this but it gets your mind thinking about real possibilities if you can just get creative enough and really figure out what “retirement” is for you. Tony Robbins’ book ‘Money, Master the Game’ and my all time favorite the Tim Ferriss ‘4 Hour Workweek’ also can get you thinking about lifestyle designs to achieve your goals.
“11 Myths About Student Loan Forgiveness” by Gerri Detweiller – lots of friends and family have been asking me lately about recommendations of how to quickly pay off their student loans. Bottom line is that you need to do some legwork to find the solution that works for you. There is no one size fits all ‘get out of student debt free card’. This article definitely answered some questions for me and can point you in the right direction for your research.
“Trophies For Children: Should Everyone Get One Or Should They Earn It?” By Phillip Vanno – My short answer is they need to earn it! How else do you separate success from failure? No wonder kids these days that I see entering the workforce feel they are entitled to a great job or an automatic promotion, all they had to do was show up their entire lives. As a father of 2 boys, I feel that I would be doing them a great disservice in life if they were to grow up not knowing what it takes to work harder than everyone around you in order to achieve success.
Enjoy your weekend!
